and this line is really important in my eyes. Have a solid crosshair is really better than a translucide one, particular on the white KBH .

open "half-life 2 deathmatch.gcf" with the prog GCFScape (google for it )
then export ClientSchemes.res. its in "hl2mp/resource/"

if u want a other crosshair, u can download them here: http://www.hl2dm-university.com/crosshairs.htm
the crosshair is in a halflife2.ttf font file, which u have to put in the same dictionary as above (.../hl2mp/resource/)

yes.. edit the exported file and put it in "hl2mp\resource\" ...maybe u have to create the "resource"-folder
(u only need GCFScape to get the ClientScheme.res file.. nothing else)
