As u have seen, player can earn some achievements when they play to L4D.
You can seen % of players who got one or another achievement here :

I think I far from the average.

Have you seen guys that achievements were updated too?
Now you have weapons accurancy, first kit aid used etc, etc..
I think it's the only one good thing in the last update...

since last update : i have seen more crashes for people and however i haven't crashed in 1 hour of playing, my fps decreased from 10-20%.

I didnt see my fps decreasing.. the crash bug has been fixed, apparently.. it was caused by incompatibility with some videocards..
