I am mapping again

Now i have time to work on what i like to do so much. Since i have my new notebook i can work in the train. Now i am trying to geting work the Labirynth map and workin on an old project i never finished

As i said i am working on a map that i began long time ago. I have to check some tutorials for some stuff.

Yesterday i had a great idea for an Xbow training map, its pretty funny, the beta version is already playable. I just reveal 2 things, big box and jumping explosive barrels

MY AIMING HAS IMPROVED IN 30 MIN !!!

I dont know how the hell change correctly the push direction

Up and down are the only things i can make right


You see a white circle in the middle of the entity, if you move it, you see the exact coordinates you have to use in the properties, but it doesnt works And theres a boton "Point at..." but i cant point at anything with that

I built a little map with a trigger push to see if it's possible.

I think that if your brush entity is in flat position you can have only a push up, i
haven't find any solution in this position even if you change something in
proprieties..

Maybe try to make a world brush like a wedge at 45°, then put your brush entity on it with
the same angle or clip it in order to follow world brush's sides and keep
the push direction to up..

Dunno if it works, i haven't try, not enought time

I'have made many try with those trigger_push but I found no way to make it work well! I've read a lot about that but never found anything!

sometimes it happend that the trigger_push stops working(bug)..then you just have to build a new one ;)

i know, that happens after you have edit the entity a few times

I was talking yesterday to [EYE] Valar and he helped me a lot with that fucking trigger_push

I am gonna eat ma pizza and the i'll finish my XBOW training map (theres lot of work to do for the labyrinth map)


This afternoon i'll tell you (hope to see cynyx, i would like to put it on the private server)

Its a "iwasfuckingboredsoimadeamap" map You have to try

I am proud to present, the first screenshots of ma new map.

Middle size Killbox (i am thinking about to close it or let the skybox) for lots of players (i have no exact details, that will come later). As you see on the screenshots, theres just a few boxes with a tower in the middle.... ok .... nothing special. The best feauture are those little blue dots on the ground. For the ones that tested my "totalfailurelabyrinth" map know them, they are mini-bouncepads. I am working on it, a few fixes, add weapons and physics, and it will be ready to be tested. I dont have to work the following 3 days, so i hope to finish it. I just can say.... test it before you give a feedback.

PS 4 Cynyx: PLease dont say that its too dark or i may have to kill you XDD The screenshots are made outside of the skybox

DHR yeah new map it looks CRAZY and FUN cant wait to test it with u and the guys ps can wee have some coulered light in parts just for something new?.
ive seen the wee blue dots in your labarinth map and the work good just let me know when u need help to test it mate

Looks very interesting. I agree with darkius about the lights - add some glow or smth in places.. Are the jumper things really strong or just enough to get to another platform?

enough stron to make a 30sec long bunny hop (from dot to dot)

Hehe.. Is just I was worried that if you spend too much time in the air - the map will be boring - just flying slowly..

Better use a day skybox?? Close the map as a normal killbox? what do you mean? I am stll thinking about how to do it

A bit too depressing, i think... Cant you make light sources on some boxes?.. Try putting light from the bottom upwards!:) Gonna look cool and should be brighter..
EDIT: I like the skybox, I mean.. Just make the map itself more lit.

yeah it only needs a wandering werewolf + a full moon to complete the picture
