I have a server!
Hello guys
Someone give a server but like all know, my knowledge in computing sux..
I want to know if it's a good one and if i can do something with it.
It's an IBM pSeries 610- 6E1, like this one: http://www.ajava.biz/ibm/sysParts/7028-6E1.jsp
I'm not sure that is a good server... What do you think?

Re: I have a server!
I have hosted one E=mc² server in past on a such configuration...
Hardware can be enough for one (little) server (HarDisk is enough, memory is enough, perhaps CPU needs to be tested, but only the frequency is not enough to know its power).
Also, there is at least 2 points to check : a) network banwidth b) OS installed on it.
If it's a Linux server, I have a typical configuration (a basic E=mc² server) ready to test.

The server is in your home ?
If yes, forget the idea of a game server.
A dedicaced game server needs a really huge internet connection ...
