hi,
my computer crashes some days ago.
WHy ? never known ... "ntldr left" (sometimes this pb is fixed alone, but not this time).
SO i've formated, and now windows xp sp1 (like before).
But hl2 doesnt work.
"hl2.exe have meet a problem and had crashed ..." (just after my clik on hl2 icon).
My drivers were the last non-beta drivers for winXP (163 .... version) (i've nvid 7600gt)
Now there are 93.... version, and allways same pb.

Some steam unistall later, allways same pb.

Now i'm trying css.
He says that i need last directX update. (i've 9.c ... ><)
I cant put dx10 on xp.

I'm downloading now a maj for dx9.c ... i dont have any idea if it will solve my pb.

Can someone help me plzz ?

Is it a new installation of HL2? or just u use an old directory?
If it's the case : reinstall game. I guess need some registrery values in order the game works.

i've keep my config files .. but i dont have put them for the moment .. i wait the game to launch...

I've only put the directX update for dx9c ^^.
