:( :( the bad news don't break up.
Germany goalkeeper Robert Enke (he was No. 1 in the German National Football Team!!!), who committed suicide on Tuesday, had been battling depression and was first treated for the illness in 2003.

Enke, 32, who had played for clubs in Germany, Spain, Portugal and Turkey before settling at Hannover 96 in 2004, walked into the path of a train near his home having left a suicide letter in which he apologised for hiding the condition of his mental state.

Well the actual speed is 14 Mbit/s (=1.7 Mbyte/s) both ways (and up to 100mbps in local network) as stated in the terms :)

Im pretty sure the 14 Mbit/s upload is a lie. The internet providers usually save money by making a narrow channel and splitting it so that download is acceptable, while upload is quite crap. My download is up to 8-9 Mbit/s, but upload is no more than 1-1.5 .

Sad day today, my laptop died (I was on our server playing Half-life when it happened btw lol). It turned off by itself and I couldn't get it to run again. Going to take it to a pc repair center tomorrow...

Good news :D Right before I was about to leave to get my pc fixed today in the morning I thought that I should try and turn it on one more time *just in case* and what do you know it worked :) Everything seems ok but I'm still thinking of taking it for a check, there's something wrong with the cooling system (probably a lot of dust inside).. but hey at least it works now :)

Well, if it died while playing - most likely it has overheated. When mine did that (not laptop, but pc, coz i messed with the CPU in its slot and didnt apply enough heatpaste) - it just shuts power off and wont switch on again until it thinks its safe.. Usually about 10-15 minutes. Then if there is any sign of overheating - it dies again.
So, dont put ur laptop on plastic surfaces or cloth and stuff, the cooler shud have some access to open air. If you think its dust - laptops arent much harder to disasemble than PCs, especially since most of them have separate parts of casing for each particular important thing - i.e. a little "door" for RAM, a little "window" for CPU cooler etc... Probably ur CPU overheated, or the motherboard, since it was so harsh at switching it off. So just find where the main coolers are and use your vaccum cleaner to suck the dust out:) Good idea would be to remove the battery to exclude great chances of a power surge of sorts.
Its just service centres would do just that and charge you for it.

wow long post kio :) I'll keep mine brief xD

yup that's what I thought too
KIO wrote: So, dont put ur laptop on plastic surfaces or cloth and stuff, the cooler shud have some access to open air.
yeah I know, using a desk instead of a sofa now , it sucks, cant lounge anymore :(
KIO wrote: So just find where the main coolers are and use your vaccum cleaner to suck the dust out
already did that but the thing is I couldn't disassemble my laptop completely (without breaking it), that's why im taking it to a service centre. Also I've never applied thermal grease myself so if something goes wrong... :zombie: dont wanna take any chances :)
I was also thinking of doing a little upgrade (more ram + an x64 system) :deal:
