It's a mouse fix that proffesional gamers use for accurate mouse sensitivity. One of the Cyberathlete Professional League's members' have made this simple registry change that will disable any mouse acceleration made by Windows XP.
Be warned: it will feel awkward and slow at first. This is true. By removing acceleration, your mouse pointer, (crosshair perhaps), will accurately display the movement that you make on your mouse. Therefore, making a very-sensitive mouse movement. It may not have any effects out-of-game, but it is VERY noticeable ingame.
It maybe wierd at first, but hell, once you get used to it, it may improve your aiming skills.
Try it and in same time write in lauching options :
i put these settings 2 days ago and ...
i tried some minutes yesterday ...
set my mouse to 3200 dpi and sensivity 5 in game.
i saw it's weird, perhaps more accurate but i dunno because i was drunk ...
i have tried it in COD4...and i see difference from the begin: yestarday(and in past) kpd near 1,3-1,5...today kpd near 3....will try it in hl2dm this evening.
(some great tools like mouserate checker and usb mouserate switcher !!)
my usb was 125mhz(8ms), now 500mhz (2ms)! W00t !!
mouse mouvements are really smooth now !
"overclocking" usb take more CPU cycles...
with old CPU, it will give more lags...really.
With my mouse (G9) I can use : 125 (default),200,250,333,500,1000 ...
i'm using 333 value.
i was playing with this mouse fix for 2-3 month ! then i taked it off) and mouse was feeling very weird
Dont know but when first time i tried it i dont feel any difference ! and when take off mouse was feeling as shit )) very weird! Seems its works !
Personaly i have removed that fix after 1 week.
Perhaps good for aim, but very crap for movements in my opinion.
I prefer feelings of logitech G9 drivers.
