Hi All,
i dont know what you use to keep your comp running ok but i have the normal stuff like windows firewall , avg , spybot and so on but i had a few prob's yesterday with slowdowns and frame rates, got in touch with scottish warrior and zipo and they use a freebie called WINDOWS ADVANCED CARE 2, i loaded it and ran it 3 times, it found lots of stuff spybot missed but it allso goes through your registry and cleans that up pluss other good stuff, junk files etc, comp running nice now

i dont use anything for security exept zone alarm pro, never had any issues with spyware or anything like that, never run a anti virus and never had a virus! windows firewall is turned off on my pc as its rubbish!
but i do install windows maybe each 6 months to keep everything fresh, and if i change drivers i remove the old ones totally first,
I also download a stripped down/ tweaked version of xp or one with all the updates to date installed already each time i install!
i dont like any programs that Clean your system of errors or Adjust the registery as i have tired them before and they have done more bad then good in the long run!
So i think the best way to solve a problem is to run dual boot, one OS for gaming and one OS for day to day activities, then if gaming is bad on its OS, just reinstall it, XP takes what 30 mins to install :P
