Hi all...

I wanna know if i can reduce my ping, with rate( what does it mean? "rafraichissement" ?), cl_update...

my config :

cl_updaterate "20"
cl_cmdrate "30"

I haven't found my rate...

my @ connexion is 1mo download/256ko upload..

In the hope you can help a poor laggy man xD

Ping depends of your internet provider ... u can't decrease it with console command. update and cmd rates command can be decrease your choke in game... but not your ping.

Explaining of Ping:

Get someone to kick your ass and measure the needed time until the Pain reach your Brain. Ergo - The Time between Kick and Pain = Ping :D

Cynyx is right and you cant do much for a better Ping. Its only based on the distance between you and the Server + the Way your Signal have to take between. Its pure Hardware/Technical based and no Console Command will help with that.

Only Fastpath could make it a bit better because the Signal will be forced from your ISP´s Site to take the fastest possible way. Your Packets will become some Kind of V.I.P.-Ticket in follow of that and can pass all Nodes faster then without Fastpath.

But also Fastpath wont help much on a very far Server about a long Distance and 100th of Nodes between. ;)

in france, only ISP "Free" can provide that for free. (see my ping on french server ... near than 5)
