Re: New GPU but..
I think DHR is right m8 it`ll be a new motherboard ,of all things it had to be ur main power block,Darkius and i had a similar problem with our cards but it was`nt the length but the width that caused us the problem the card covers another PCI port plus 1 of the SATA connections, but we were able to get a hold of a couple of flat connectors but it was a tight fit

Re: New GPU but..
that's the problem with all new and "top" video card.
Yes, i think u unfortunately need a new motherboard.
Not forecely, need a new tower.
but perhaps a new power supply because that kind of video card needs most of time a lot of power.

Re: New GPU but..
no Roundy, u need at least 500-600W min power supply for this gpu, 700W would be perfect)

Light. be can be enough if ur power supply is a good one, mean it's really a 460w .. but power suplly will work at its limit. In all case it can be a source of problem.Roundup wrote: My power supply is 460w, is it ok?
Need some information ... What 's ur current CPU and RAM ? Have u special request about features (sound card, network, HD controller) ?Roundup wrote: Have you some motherboard examples?
and ... Fuzzy is the best for advices about hardware.
Re: New GPU but..
Yeah, its the power cables and unless u can tuck them under the card somehow, it will probably have to be a new motherboard.. Fuzzy helped me buy mine, he might help you too:P
Power supply is really neccessary, i had problems when i bought my first decent GPU.. SInce then I have a 800w supply, if im not wrong.. or 700... cost a lot, but since then i changed 2 GPUs and motherbpoard and still dont need to upgrade:))

Re: New GPU but..
Ok, i have a Pentium 4 socket 775, RAM DDR1,Soundblaster live 24..
After some search, i will be difficult to find a motherboard in DDR1.
I need to change motherboard, RAM (DDR2?), power supply, tower too cause medium size,
i think it's not enought.
PS to Fuzzy: sorry mate, i had connection troubles but thanks to help me
