Left 4 Dead 2 features new multiplayer

Post by DHR_000x »

It isn't long until Left 4 Dead 2 is released and Valve have announced a new multiplayer mode named Scavenge. Featuring a faster pace than the competitive found in the original title, survivors have to find, grab and transport gas canisters to a generator on a small map whereas the infected must try and stop them.

Just stay calm.Games are timed and each instance will consist of several rounds. As you collect one of the sixteen canisters and deposit them safely, you'll earn add a slither of more time onto the clock. Rounds will last a maximum of five to six minutes, which is dependent on how quickly you can collect cannisters, as when the round starts you only have one minute and twenty seconds on the clock.

Each of the mode's six maps will be based on a small area of Left 4 Dead 2's different campaigns and will offer different gameplay.

Zombies, they never learn.Imagine the hurried nature of the campaign and dial it up a notch and you'll get a sense of what this mode will be like.

There's no place like home.Valve will be announcing more about the highly anticipated sequel in the future including another, as of yet unannounced, campaign. They only have a matter of weeks to unveil new content, so they had better get on with it.

It seems as though there's a lot of new content to get your teeth into, but we doubt it'll appease those complaining about the game's short development cycle.
