All of GTA's, Hitman, Prototype... crap lots more games... I have seen the vid u are talking about, not all of it. Its just this game looks the prettiest in doing so.. I dont really see much problem in the fact of the mission itself, i think its a marketing way to get attention to the game. And the "official" society will not approve of it, so it was quite silly of them to do it, BUT people will go and buy it anyway - forbidden fruit etc...

Also, I can add It's true when I played this mission I feel not particulary good (uncut version).

True, the general ambiance smells a lot the american way of thinking and its bad side but even with that, I took a lot of pleasure to play the solo game : graphism, story and screenplay all along the game really rocks in my point view ... some scenes are epic. and like the mission 4, for the bad feeling you can have when you play it at this moment, will be burnt in my gamer memory.

It was exactly same for another previous opus : marked in memory. I'm sure you remember that moment of COD2 if you played it

Thats exactly how i also feel a game, and it is exactly that what matters on a game

Yeah, the normandy from cod2 was great.. I think from COD2 as well, or COD there was a similar russian mission - u go on a boat and u have to storm a hill, but u dont get a gun... you see people running with flags and dying. That was a good one as well. I loved the first 2 cods actually, havent played any of them since them.. i mean ANY:)) never even seen anything later than cod2 properly.
Sometimes i felt bad eating people in prototype too, but then, oh well.. It is a game, and if it manages to convey emotion - its an achievement, coz usually there are no emotions in games. Yes, this mission 4 is a bad thing in terms of potential education, but then killing anyone is bad, and GTA, for instance, is the ultimate "the world is one playground and u get guns" game, so why isnt that banned.. oh wait, in san andreas there was a banned section where u could have sex with girls. Thats so terrible! no sex, no! here is a giant dildo, go kill some people instead.

Thats because kids play the game, and they wont show them how sex looks like before marriage (noone said you cant kill before marriage)

Because Callahan only played the cut versions of those games, and GTA in germany is a racing simulator...

STORY??? God damn no...Story is really pice of crap, or u also can imagine this? Its like 2012 movie - if u doesnt know physics - the movie will rock u by scenario( and many other movies, like Hitman for example). Why they cant just make scenario, which can be real in our world? Teenagers are learning history and politic situation from games and movies - thats why its starting flood and whinig on servers if ull say, that u are russian...seems like cold war still continue...and half of world still thinks that we are evil empire, who nucked Japan and has been bombing peacefull Drezden with napalm bobmbs for 3 days...ye, we did it ofcourse

My opininon after being in mw2 for week - funny game to play with friends, sometimes just for "relax-shooting". Not yet able to be a competitive game(not only bcz of no dedicated servers and no mods, but bcz the screen is too "objectfull", too much things, which take a pice of ur attention - glass, flowers, etc. as soon as console will be avalialbe - cg_drawdecals 0 ftw). Bcz perfect part of cod4 - u can fit the game for urself(as hl2dm) - even set different colours ratio for each map(it helps sometimes). + iw.net is too "fresh" for the moment. Waiting for patches and playing cod4 - thats my desicion)
And guys, who has bought mw2 - lets do a "party" some evening)

Just switch your language for english in steam, and you will download yourself the files for your friend. It will be a lot faster.

Go to CODMW2> properties> languages



but perhaps german and its cut version doesn't allow that ...

MW2 WIN_DIRECTX_INIT_BODY - "DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error."

1. Right click on the desktop and choose "Preferences"
2. Select the "Options" tab
3. Click on the "Advanced" button
4. Choose the "Troubleshooting" tab
5. Lower the "Hardware acceleration" bar to "None"
6. Untick the selection box for "Activate combine writing"
7. Press "OK" and restart the computer

What the process is doing after this is that DXDIAG is setting the DXDIAG settings to null.
Now do the same process again as told above, all the 7 steps.

When you have restarted the computer for the second time, now you shouldn't have any problems

The only problem is i cant find this options on Vista... any idea? Thx for help

DHR, ive spent 20 minutes looking for similar thing on my win7... couldnt find it. I do know where it is on XP, but this OS is like a fucking maze.... Sorry, mate

EDIT: The only troubleshooting i found is in Control Panel-> Troubleshooting. But it doesnt have any of the hardware acceleration crap that u want.
