Anyone played the demo?
I did..not as good as i expected,but kinda gets u involved anyway:)) and TOO DARK.

to dark. boring having to try GUESS whats going on. i understand its a scary game, but doesnt help wen the sun is shining and u cant see wtf u are or holding.

how can yoiu download the demo without pre-purchasing the game?

I only see "pre-purchase the game now and have instant acces to the demo"

the demo is available for everyone for a week, until the actual game comes out... So, 5 days left now.. Weekend will be the last 2-3 days:)
The more i play it, the more i like it... On Expert difficulty setting is plain noob suicide:) You DO have to cooperate, because if one guy on the team makes a stupid mistake - all die, trying to help him, protect him, or just trying to run away from what he has done... It is good... I solved the darkness problem by putting brightness up:)) You still cant see shit (thats how its meant to be), but you can kind of see the silhoutes and their flashing eyes in the darkness.. and thats where you aim.. Also, hearing is essential, so playing in headphones is a good idea:) I like it, really.. not sure if ill buy it, since it costs 20 quid:( not much, but i cant be arsed to spend even that much now...

Have to say, AI is great.. really.. and levels are thought thru... and enemies.. apart from some REALLY overpowered ones...
Most of standard "monster-shooter" games had the ability to climb somewhere up where noone can actually get you.. this holds for HL2, Doom3 and so on, and so on... Here, they will climb after u:))) AND IT IS AMAZING how they do it... overpowered fucker is Tank (hence the name), a HUGE guy who takes most of all of 4 people ammo to kill.. and, he can run quickly, he breaks walls, throws stones and cars, kills people by two hits and can also climb boxes and rubbish and stuff, so u cant actually hide properly.. you have to keep running and shooting... all four of you... and a dozen of other zombies:) So, any time this guy spawns in game, even on normal difficulty, you have to restart the level, since he screws everything up:)

In fact when i watch trailers, it remember me a movie: 28 days later good movie

I'm afraid that i dislike the game cause too dark.. like when i tryed doom 3, i played
1, 2 hours and put the game in a bin ^^

Its not that dark.. its not intended to be "BOOO!" like Doom, when enemies just jump out at you.. It is more like a movie, like resident evil, maybe:) You know they are there - you hear them.. and they are stupid, they dont attack straight away, they think for a bit.. so they dont actually startle you.. What is scary is that its dark and you hear them
So, it has to be tried.. and on a high difficulty. It does feel like a challenge.

Although, at the moment, connection service SUCKS, it takes AGES to connect to a game and start playing.. I think it will be fixed with patches and more servers appearing...

I like it! Very funny, good game ambient, but connexion to servers sux yeah..

Too bad, every 5 seconds "connection problem"...

Yeah, it was a recent stam update that screwed it up.. It used to work good, bot perfect, but good... Now it doesnt work at all.. Good marketing strategy - demo is unplayable two days before the release

I usually get quite excited when Valve bring out a game but not this time i am afraid i dont know whether its because im fed up with zombie games(no one has pulled off anything close to Ravenholm)or if it is the fact that graphically it not very good

I tested it yesterday (with bots, it sucks because servers were full) but i am thinking about tu buy it....

Why we can play the demo only for 4 days????

Lol, coz it ends with official game release:)
And, Kombat, graphics is quite good actually...

P.S. Apparently, they fixed the nonplayability.. lets see...

i have it , played near 5 hours, it's great, really funny
but really hard to kill survivors when you are a zombie

Game ambience is cool, you can hear zombies scream... eeeehaaaaAAA
