haha, i upgraded from 512kbps to 1mbps no lags! ... but still sucky ping.. :P Going from 512 to a 2mb connection you wont notice a difference in ping, but going over 2mb ---- to 8mb theres a good chance your ping times will go higher instead of lower..... GOOGLE.com for "interleaving" 2mb...

well my connection i have traced problems to me wireless distance from router.......... sometimes its smooth sometimes very bad with players warping about the screen...... when others in my house are watching TV it seems to play up more, and when people go to open the door and walk upstairs its star...

I seen these nutters about 100 times all around the clubs of wales...... nothing better than being totally off it with these kinda beats slammin!!!!

If you run on a full server with the following rates and still have problems its your ISP

rate 25000
cl_cmdrate 30
cl_updaterate 20

bring up a cmd window

type

tracert (your server IP without PORT)

see if theres any loss of high pings along your way there...

Try using

rate 20000 - 25000
cl_cmdrate 30 - 67
cl_updaterate 10 -20
